The inaugural Celero Conference in 2009 at the Deerfoot Inn in Calgary, AB was a huge success, attracting 150 delegates from across the Prairies. This year, we’re pleased to open up the conference to credit unions, technology partners and vendors from all over Canada in our bid to become the pre-eminent financial technology conference in the country.

Brian Williams has been dubbed "the face of the Olympics for Canadians" and it is not difficult to see why. Since Montreal’s 1976 Summer Games, he has covered a total of 12 Olympic Games and is now gearing up to anchor the prime-time Olympic coverage for both the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2012 Summer Games in London with CTV and TSN.

Rahaf Harfoush

Rahaf Harfoush is a social media strategist on the rise. Her interest in technology's impact on governance, education and the workplace began as an analyst at Don Tapscott's thinktank, where she published whitepapers on topics including the Net Generation and women and the web. Harfoush helps organizations build effective online strategies that create meaningful conversation with their employees, consumers and the general public. Her clients include InnoSpa-Unilever, British Telecom Wholesale, and the Web Foundation. She speaks to corporate and non-profit groups on the increasing use -- and vital importance -- of online technologies and the powerful ideas of community that animate them.
She recently accepted the position of Associate Director of the Global Cooperation Initiative at the World Economic Forum, in Geneva. In this role, she will co-lead the development of the Forum's online community platform. Prior to this, Harfoush spent three months with the Obama New Media team in Chicago. An active member of Toronto's technology community, she is involved with associations like The Movement, an organization of people committed to collaborating on projects for social good, and The Overlap, a community that combines cross-disciplinary expertise to tackle the challenges of sustainable innovation.
In love with the written word, Harfoush is the author of Yes We Did, a book about the grassroots groundswell inspired by the Obama campaign which, released in May 2009. She is the Research Coordinator to the critically acclaimed Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything and a contributor on both Grown Up Digital: How the Net Generation is Changing your World and Everything I needed to Know About Business I learned from a Canadian.

Amber MacArthur is a young, bright and deeply credentialed Web consultant -- a leading voice of the social media generation. Amber Mac -- as she's known to her legion of fans -- is also a pioneering and wildly popular web journalist who interviews the Web's users, content producers and entrepreneurs. In podcasts and on television (she has worked for the CBC, CityTV and G4TechTV), she traces the profound impact of emerging technologies on the way we live, work and play -- and she makes it all fun, informative and accessible. Currently, MacArthur is the co-founder of both MGI Media and Arktyp, and a lead consultant for Tony Robbins on his new social networking site.
Previously, she was a key strategist for the world-famous Razorfish, in San Francisco, and has worked on projects for Microsoft, Adobe, HP and Bell. MacArthur also hosts the podcasts Inside the Net, commandN, and Webnation, which won the 2007 iTunes Top New Podcast. She is also actively involved in Women in Technology International.
Prior to moving to Toronto in the summer of 2003, she spent three years in San Francisco and one year in Boston working in the technology industry. She was a Writer and Branding Strategist at Razorfish San Francisco, a leading interactive marketing and consulting agency, where she developed online content and usability strategies. While at Razorfish she worked as a Webby Awards Judge for The Webby Awards 2000, analyzing and rating more than 100 Web sites for content, design, and user experience quality.
Her professional experience in San Francisco and Boston includes almost three years as Director of Web Marketing at HigherMarkets, a software start-up, where she managed corporate branding initiatives, software usability, online course development, and she was Managing Editor of The Pulse, the HigherMarkets bi-weekly e-newsletter.
Her journalism experience dates back to her school years when she wrote for the Youth Page of the Ottawa Citizen and worked as Opinions Editor at her college newspaper. She completed internships at KQED Radio: The California Report in San Francisco and CBC-TV in Charlottetown, PEI (her hometown!). John Fursey

Mr. Fursey is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for IBM Global Business Services Canada.
John is a seasoned advisor to a wide range of businesses in Canada and the United States, in particular within the banking industry. Over the last 30 years with IBM, and one of its predecessor organizations, PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, John has assisted major organizations address strategic issues around their business models, mergers & acquisitions, business processes, technology and operations.
John is a frequent speaker in Canada and the United States on financial services industry matters, including the implications of the changing market for retail financial services, anti-money laundering and regulatory and accounting for financial institutions. He has also spoken extensively on improving the effectiveness of the finance function, value-based management, securitization and other financial instruments. In addition, he is the author of several publications on these matters.

Stephen Cameron

Stephen Cameron is responsible for overseeing Open Solutions’ day-to-day tactical operations, processes and company-wide organizational efficiencies. Stephen brings to Open Solutions more than 20 years of experience leading technology and services-based organizations. He joins Open Solutions from Siemens IT Solutions and Services, Inc., a global end-to-end provider of solutions and services in information and communications technology, where he served as Chief Operating Officer of North American Outsourcing Services. In that role, he was responsible for the entire North American Managed Services business unit including full P&L responsibility of approximately $700 million, management of more than 5,000 employees as well as the management and support of key Fortune 500 U.S. and Global clients.
In 2000, Siemens’ acquired ENTEX Information Services, where Stephen held the position of Senior Vice President of National Services and was responsible for all aspects of the company’s managed and operational services portfolio. He was also responsible for all North American Service personnel and service operations. Prior to ENTEX, he was with Businessland for seven years before its merger with JWP, which through a management buyout led to the formation of ENTEX.
In addition to his experience in various technical service environments, he has a long record of successes in process re-engineering, consulting, and managing and selling service solutions for the Fortune 500. Stephen earned an ASEE in Electronics Engineering and has been a former member of the Service Executive Councils of Apple, HP and IBM.

Jeff Mulligan

Jeff Mulligan specializes in transformational change, leadership development, strategic planning and corporate governance. With an innovative social media based strategy, Jeff was elected Mayor for the City of Lloydminster on October 28, 2009, promising positive change, open dialogue and greater accountability. Jeff brings 32 years of experience in Management and Executive positions within the financial services and technology industry, together with his latest business venture, a Leadership and Change Consulting firm known as AHHA Moments Inc.
Jeff has led financial institutions in the areas of retail delivery and technology, was a member of the management group that launched the Bank of Alberta (Canadian Western Bank), and championed key innovation throughout his career. He has served as a Corporate Board Member on several Boards and was appointed to the Athabasca University Governing Council in 2007.
The recent merger of Common Wealth, Community and Servus CU’s co-architected by Jeff, was the largest Canadian CU merger in history creating a $10 Billion locally owned CU, with over 100 branches and 2,000 team mates.

During his 30-year career he has held key executive positions in several leading companies including: VP Technology & CIO with the Canadian Payments Association in Ottawa; Senior VP & CIO with ATB Financial in Edmonton; VP & CIO at Crown Life in Regina; Vice President of Systems with Co-Operators Financial Services in Guelph; Partner with Sierra Systems in Calgary; Business Development Executive at EDS in Calgary; Solutions Development Manager with Cisco Systems in Calgary; and Director, Sales & Marketing at CDSL/CGI in Mississauga.

With the formation of Central 1 Credit Union, Kelly has followed the MemberDirect® software through a total of five different companies so has literally made a career out of providing online banking to credit unions across Canada.
Through various roles, Kelly has championed the evolution of MemberDirect® from a simple self-service banking application into a family of online banking products for consumers and businesses, and he now looks forward to helping credit unions develop a mobile strategy that will help them to effectively compete with the big banks.

Brian Guillemin

Brian Guillemin is a Senior Vice President of Payment Solutions and Innovation at MBNA Canada Bank (MBNA). Brian’s team is responsible for defining many of the strategic initiatives associated with the future development of emerging technologies. The team is responsible for the design and execution of the chip migration currently underway within the bank for its credit union clients.
During his 18-year career, Brian was responsible for the credit union merchant program, played a key role in migrating acquiring solutions to UNPS, and managed the teams that achieved the first acquired Maestro transaction and MasterCard®’s first secure Internet transaction in Canada. Outside of MBNA, Brian Guillemin is a member of the Provincial Technical Committee for the Saskatchewan Fencing Association, is a board member for the Saskatchewan Science Centre and is currently working on his Executive MBA at the University of Regina.

Sheryl Britton is the Executive Vice-President of Technology Services and is responsible for ensuring technology services and corporate projects are delivered in a timely and effective manner. Sheryl has worked in the credit union system for over 30 years. Her work experience includes time at Saskatoon Credit Union, Page Credit Union, SaskCentral, CUETS, Celero and Everlink. She has extensive experience in the operational and technology aspects of the credit union, credit card, merchant and transaction switching businesses.
Sheryl holds a Masters in Business Administration, Advanced Graduate Certificate in Management and a Certificate in Administration.
Sheryl is an active member of the following professional associations: CUMA, CIPS, IIBA, SIAST Technology committee, Foster Parents Association, and Eastview Rotary Club.

Priscilla Boucher

Priscilla Boucher has been with Assiniboine Credit Union since February 2006. As a member of the executive management team, Ms. Boucher provides overall leadership and input to strategy, business direction and operational plans in the areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community economic development (CED). Her responsibilities include leading the development of policies and practices to integrate social, environmental and ethical leadership into all areas of the business; and guiding the development and implementation of strategic programs, products/services and partnerships to achieve CSR and CED objectives. She also oversees the credit union’s community grants, sponsorships and employee community involvement programs.
In the recent merger of ACU with Astra, Vantis and Buffalo Credit Unions she provided leadership to integrate CSR into the newly merged credit union, and worked closely with the board to establish a strong governance structure, transitioning the role of Corporate Secretary in September 2008.
Prior to joining Assiniboine, Ms. Boucher worked for more than 15 years at Vancity Credit Union and led the development of many of the initiatives that earned Vancity an international reputation as a leader in corporate social responsibility. Ms. Boucher holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, and a PhD from the University of British Columbia.

Dennis Cunningham

Dennis Cunningham first joined IISD in 1999 with a focus on Business and Sustainable Development issues. Over time, his responsibilities expanded and became more focused on climate change issues. He was involved with the international launch of IISD's climate change video, Sila Alangotok: Inuit Observations of Climate Change in 2000; managed the Climate Compendium; and contributed to the Chile Transportation and CDM project. Mr. Cunningham also provided expertise to several Manitoba government climate change initiatives including the KyotoSmart Network, the Manitoba Climate Change Community Challenge (C4) initiative, Climate Change Connection (Manitoba’s climate change public education and outreach hub), and workshops on emissions trading and agricultural offsets.
Mr. Cunningham is also engaged in providing policy expertise and project coordination to several provincial governments on regulatory frameworks and other issues, and supporting activities for several private sector clients. He has presented at a numerous national and international conferences on climate change and corporate social responsibility.
Outside of IISD, Mr. Cunningham teaches the course “Business and the Environment” for the University of Winnipeg’s Environmental Studies program and a Member at Large with the Manitoba Eco-Network Steering Committee.

Bill Boris

Bill Boris is a member of Celero's Training team and has over 20 years experience in the technology business. His focus on training began in the 1990s with Winnipeg's Polar Bear Corporate Education as an applications instructor and later as an Instructional Designer. Prior to joining Celero, Bill was a Project Manager with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Bill returned to the training world with Celero in 2007. He is responsible for creating training materials for the cView suite of products, and for delivering training in that area.

Dean Jenkinson

Dean Jenkinson is a Winnipegger and proud of it. He tours the country regularly, performing his unique brand of stand-up in clubs from coast to coast. Since starting his comedy career over a decade ago, this young veteran has gone onto television appearances on The Comedy Network’s Comedy at Club 54 and Global’s Comedy on Stage. In 1998, he was featured in his own 30-minute episode of CBC’s COMlCS!
CBC news viewers recognize Dean from his award-winning satirical commentaries on shows like Canada Now and Saturday Report. He is heard every Friday morning on CBC Manitoba’s lnformation Radio as The Headliner, singing an original comedy song from the week’s headlines.
Dean has also appeared at The Winnipeg Folk Festival as a main stage host since 1999. His 1998 play How Do You Know When You’re Done along with Al Rae was named among the Top Ten at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
